Henry started playing guitar at the age of 6 on his brother's old beat-up guitar. He drove his mother crazy playing endless loops of some of his favorite rock anthems like "Wild Thing" and "Satisfaction". Growing up, his influences were the likes of John Fogerty, John Mellancamp, The Rolling Stones, and Neil Young. With over 40 years in the entertainment industry, and honing his craft as a guitarist and vocalist, music has taken Henry down many diversified roads. These days, Henry's energy is spent songwriting, recording, and performing in "The Doobie Brothers Experience".
Terry got his first guitar at the tender age of 3, and by the age of 14 began to play professionally. One of Terry's greatest accomplishments was performing in theatres with the "Pink Floyd Tribute" called "Time" as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. In 2009, Terry entered a singing competition beating out 141 other singers and placing 3rd overall. In 2015, Terry was commissioned to write the theme song and soundtrack for a Central China TV documentary, and continues to write music today. Terry says, "with all my musical influences, The Doobie Brothers music is exciting and challenging to play, with arrangements more complex than most people would think". "Their music has been a part of my life's soundtrack and is especially near and dear to me - you can't help but sing and dance along to the music".
Claudio started to play the sax at the age of 14. By the time he hit 15, he was playing professionally. He went on to study music at Malaspina University College, and later continued his studies at Berkley College of Music in Boston. For the past 40 years, he has continued to perform in a wide variety of musical groups which included big bands, small jazz ensembles, and musical theatre. One of his highlights was playing in a tribute production called "The Joe Cocker Experience". Currently Claudio performs with several groups including, the Arrowsmith Big Band, Time Well Wasted, Stealing Dan (Steely Dan tribute), and "The Doobie Brothers Experience".
Ron took an early interest in music which started with influences from his family members and being influenced by the music vibe that was dominating the air waves in the mid to late 60's. Family members would said that at age 2, you could find Ron dancing in front of the stereo speakers. It was clear even then, that music had a hook in Ron.
Ron started out playing trumpet in the school band, and finally got his first guitar at the age of 14. Soon after, he also began playing the bass guitar. In the early 80's as a young adult, Ron started to play professionally and has continued for 40 years. He is also a songwriter and has written, recorded, and published over 30 songs. One of Ron's fondest memories was performing in the tribute production called "The Joe Cocker Experience", and he's excited to perform in and share, "The Doobie Brothers Experience" with everyone...
Malcolm has had a musical life starting piano lessons at the age of 5. He began playing in bands during his high school years, learning songs from his favorite artists. After high school his first professional paying gig came at the age of 19. Malcolm continued studying music at UBC and Capilano University. After graduation, from the stage to the classroom, Malcolm became a music educator for 27 years, and later became the Music Director at Centennial High School. Malcolm has performed in Washington, Oregon, California, and in Hawaii. He is now retired and is continuing his musical journey as the pianist/keyboardist for "The Doobie Brothers Experience".
In 1972, at the age of 13, Gerry started playing drums professionally with his junior high school band teacher's dance band, and continued studying music through to high school graduation in 1976. After finishing high school, his musical journey took him on the road for several years with various rock bands where he honed his craft, and had the privilege to share the stage with Jerry Doucette and Brian McCleod (Head Pins). Some of Gerry's other memorable moments was drumming for a "Pink Floyd" tribute production called "Time". This led to Gerry putting together a tribute to the late great Joe Cocker, called "The Joe Cocker Experience". Today, Gerry is most proud of creating the best tribute production yet: "The Doobie Brothers Experience". He says, " Of the 3 tributes I have performed in or created, this is by far the most fun and energized production he has ever been a part of - you can't help but move to the music". "Let's keep that long train runnin' ".
